    Following Sergey Surovikin’s appointment as commander-in-chief of the aerospace forces, the position of commander of the Eastern Military District (EMD) has been given to Deputy Chief of General Staff Alexander Zhuravlev.     Russia and Italy have agreed to supply Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft to Europe, as the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported in a statement posted on its website.

    There are currently 57 political prisoners in the Russian-annexed Crimea, as reported by the head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Eskender Bariev, during a press conference in Kyiv on November 6th.
