Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo announced on Twitter that the Nuit Blanche (White Night) night-time art festival is dedicated to the Ukrainian film director and the prisoner in the Russian penal colony, Oleh Sentsov.

Latvia detects Russian warship near its coast
A Russian warship was detected not far from the coast of Latvia, in the exclusive economic zone, reported the press service of the National Armed Forces of Latvia on Twitter. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 6th.

EU demands Sentsov’s release and medical treatment
The EU is demanding that Russia “not only provide Oleh Sentsov with quick and appropriate medical treatment, but also immediately release him, together with the other Ukrainians being held illegally in Russia and Crimea”.
