ECHR rules that Russia must pay Navalny and Ofitserov 86,000 euros
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled in favor of Alexei Navalny and Petr Ofitserov. They had previously submitted a complaint against the decision of the Russian Court in the case of Kirovles. The text of the ruling was published on the website of the ECHR.

City authorities in St. Petersburg have agreed that the demonstration in remembrance of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov will be held on Mars Field. “We received a call and were informed that the meeting, with the participation of 5,000 people, has been agreed to. The leader of Russia’s Progress Party, Alexei Navalny, has filed an administrative lawsuit against Russian President, Vladimir Putin. He argues that Putin has violated the law on “combating corruption”. The Kremlin stated that the president is unaware of the lawsuit.

Russian opposition to hold demonstration in memory of Nemtsov on anniversary of his assassination
Organizers of a demonstration to commemorate the death of Boris Nemtsov will give notice about the event to Moscow’s mayoral office on the 12th of February. This was posted on the event organizer’s Facebook page.
The demonstration will be held on February 27th on the one-year anniversary of Nemtsov's assassination. Participants plan to walk from Slavyanskaya Square to the Great Moscow River Bridge, where Nemtsov was killed.

Russian opposition leader Mikhail Kasyanov attacked in Moscow
The leader of the People’s Freedom Party (Parnas), Mikhail Kasyanov, has been attacked in Moscow. He did not suffer any serious injuries.
This was reported by the head of the youth department of Parnas, Mikhail Konev. In an interview with Radio Svoboda, he said that a group of people from Chechnya attempted an assault on Kasyanov but that his security personnel successfully fought them off.
