  • Montenegro PM accuses pro-Russian opposition of organizing his assassination attempt

    The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, has accused the pro-Russian opposition of direct involvement in pursuing a violent change of power in the country. He has also accused them of being involved in his assassination attempt on election day.

  • Authorities in Moscow removed memorial to Boris Nemtsov

    Moscow authorities have removed the makeshift memorial to Russian oppositionist Boris Nemtsov, who was shot dead near the Kremlin in 2015, Radio Liberty reports.

    As was reported, on the evening of May 8th on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, two activists who were on duty near the memorial were detained. The activists were released in the morning on May 9th.

    Russian Duma Deputy Dmitry Gudkov proposed that those in attendance of Friday’s legislative session in Moscow share a moment of silence in memory of Boris Nemtsov on the eve of the anniversary of his assassination.
