Ukrainian military say they have advanced nearer to Donetsk
Soldiers of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo took up new positions in Marinka, now only 100-250 meters away from Aleksandrivka and Donetsk, announced the press officer of the brigade, Nazar Ilnitsky, on the air of the radio station Armia FM on June 12.
According to him, the brigade reconnaissance teams entered the “gray zone” in order to improve their tactical position - to shift away from the local population. This plan was developed by the command of the brigade and the high command.
“Planned, developed and executed down to the last detail. This is important because it provides greater security for the population - it will be much farther from the contact line ... Our situation is also improving - it is better to watch the enemy from here and monitor the enemy’s actions,” Ilnitsky said.
