Ukrainian military command denies liberation of two villages in the Donbas, says the territory was always under Kyiv's control

The settlements of Travneve and Hladosove in the Donetsk region were located on territory controlled by Ukraine and, therefore, “nobody liberated them", as stated by Vladyslav Voloshyn, an officer of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports Hromadske.

"Two settlements - Travneve and Hladosove - were on the territory controlled by Ukraine. They were not liberated," the officer stated.

According to Voloshyn, the Ukrainian military was located in these settlements before the news of the liberation. Voloshyn noted that now Ukrainian Armed Fofrces have implemented a change in their tactical position; the units of Travneve and Hladosove have redeployed units and started building fortifications there.

Voloshin also denied the militants’ information about the alleged approach of the Ukrainian Special Forces Unit toward the DPR positions.

Earlier, Ukrainian military headquarters confirmed the return of control over the villages of Travneve and Hladosove from the gray zone. This had been made possible by the operation on the Svitlodarsk Salient. Local residents have already been given humanitarian aid.
