DPR Minister of Coal and Energy arrested in Donetsk
Separatists arrested the so-called Minister of Coal and Energy, Eduard Golenko in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as reported on Facebook by Konstantin Dolgov, a former spokesman of the so-called Foreign Ministry of the DPR.
According to Dolgov, the "arrest" was authorized by Alexander Zakharchenko and his "purse,” the Vice Prime Minister for Economy, Alexander Timofeyev, known also as "Tashkent.”
"Golenko was inconvenient because he proposed to establish a state enterprise for the sale of coal to consumers directly, without intermediaries. It did not fit into the plans of Zakharchenko and Timofeyev since the latter specially created an intermediary structure, the trading house The Coal of Donbas, so that the margin on the sales of coal would find its way into the pockets of the ruling tandem," Dolgov noted.
According to former "official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPR," Zakharchenko and Timofeyev want to replace Golenko with their own man, Sosnovsky. "The fact that a criminal case was initiated against Sosnovsky in the Russian Federation makes the situation even more peculiar,” he added.
