Sea Breeze 2019 international exercises to be held in three southern regions of Ukraine
The international military exercises Sea Breeze 2019 will be held in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odessa regions in the north-western part of the Black Sea, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported.
During the preparatory conference, in Odessa, the participating countries clarified training tasks, developed a scenario and training plan, prepared the leadership headquarters for in accordance with NATO standards.
According to the plan of exercises, the current Ukrainian-American maneuvers of the "Sea Breeze" series will be multifunctional and very useful for its participants as always.
“The main advantage of the exercises will be the scale and unique format of the maneuvers, since the Ukrainian Navy's troops, together with partners, will carry out tasks in accordance with NATO standards at sea, land, in the air and under water,” said Deputy Commander of the Navy Armed Forces of Ukraine on combat training, Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neyizhpapa at the opening of the conference.
The anti-aircraft missile units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will conduct four air defense exercises with live firing in 2019. The first shooting exercise of anti-aircraft missile systems will take place in February at the Yahorlyk testing ground in the Kherson region.
