DPR head Zakharchenko says there will be no 'Malorossiya'
The so-called “leader” of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko stated that the public did not like the name “Malorossiya” (“Little Russia”), but the very idea of “re-establishment” of the country aroused great interest.
“The very idea of re-establishment of the state, which is plunged into a deep economic and political crisis and not attempting to carry out radical reforms to federalize the country and find ways out of the collapse, received broad support,” said Zakharchenko. “We can already say that the name will not be ‘Malorossiya’ because many are opposed to the idea.”
According to him, a lot of “interesting, varied” proposals and comments have been made, which indicates that the discussion was not started in vain.
“Kyiv should reflect on the fact that further continuation of such a murderous policy and incompetence will lead to the disintegration of the country,” said Zakharchenko.
Earlier, Zakharchenko said that in place of Ukraine, a new country called “Malorossiya” would be created, with its capital at Donetsk.
