Ukrainian Intelligence: Six Russian trucks carrying Special Forces members arrived in Donbas

On the 1st of March, Russian vehicles carrying ammunition and reinforcements arrived in the Donetsk region.  These vehicles consisted of three cars carrying ammunition, six trucks with mortars on board as well as special purpose units.  According to the Ukrainian News, this was reported by the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“We have confirmed the presence of these Russian military vehicles.  They are transporting arms, military equipment, ammunition and fuel to the 1st and 2nd Army Corps,” the report stated.

On the 1st of March, Russian military vehicles entered Ilovaisk through checkpoints which are not controlled by Ukraine.  This column of vehicles consisted of three cars with ammunition and two cars with tank engines and spare parts.

Two tanks, four BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, four cars carrying personnel and two mobile refueling stations arrived in Novoazovsk.

In addition, six trucks with 120-mm mortars and four ammunition trucks arrived in Sverdlovsk.

As part of the rotation procedure within the special forces, the 24th separate special purpose brigade of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the FSB is now stationed at the same location as the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 1st Army Corps division.

On the 22nd of February, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported on the arrival of 70 Russian servicemen in the Lugansk region, as well as the arrival of 200 tons of ammunition in the Donetsk region.
