Ukrainian Intelligence: Russia continues to send weapons and soldiers to the Donbas

Russia continues to supply its troops in the Donbas with personnel and weapons, according to a report released by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the report, on the 24th of July, four trucks carrying 110 personnel and three guns were identified coming from Russia en route to Sverdlovsk in the Luhansk region.

Ukraine has contacted representatives of the Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE and reported on the presence of tanks, artillery systems with calibers over 100 mm, self-propelled guns and the 122-mm Grad multiple rocket launching system. These weapons are present in the areas of Staromykhailivka, Debaltseve, Donetsk, Makiivka, Horlivka and Veselohorivka.

According to the report, additional losses of personnel of the 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Luhansk) Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were recorded.

On the 24th of July, four soldiers were killed and seven were wounded. They belonged to the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment (Makiivka) and the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of the marines (Novoazovsk) of the 1st Armed Corps (Donetsk) of the Armed Forces of Russia, as well as the 6th separate motorized rifle regiment (Stakhanov) of the 2nd Armed Corps (Luhansk).

“The greatest losses were suffered by the 6th separate motorized infantry regiment (Stakhanov) of the 2nd Armed Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, whose unit carried out attacks against ATO [Ukrainian] forces near the Popasna settlement,” the agency added.
