Ukrainian Intelligence: 9 Russian soldiers were killed in Marinka
According to the Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, nine Russian soldiers have been killed and eight wounded near the town of Marinka in eastern Ukraine.
“The losses of the Russian occupiers in the Marinka district have been confirmed. Nine Russian soldiers have died while eight have been injured. On the 19th of February, the bodies were secretly transported from Donetsk to Russia,” a statement read
“Taking into account the constant losses of personnel and significant difficulties in the mobilization process, members of the armed forces of the Russian Federation came to occupied Donbas every day with reinforcements for units one and two of the army,” the statement continued.
According the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the 19th of February, a regular brigade of more than 100 Russian enlisted men arrived in the city of Alchevsk
The main Directorate of Intelligence stated that from January to September 2015, 627 Russian soldiers were killed in Donbas and more than 2,000 were injured.
Ukraine and the West have accused Russia of supporting separatists in the Donbas region. Moscow continues to deny these allegations, saying that there are no Russian troops in the Donbas, only “volunteers”.
