Eastern Ukraine sees increased number of attacks
On September 25, pro-Russian separatists violated the ceasefire seven times. Separatists resorted to armed provocations using small arms, grenade launchers and machine guns.

In the Mariupol area, separatists violated the ceasefire in the areas of Marinka and Pavlopillia using small arms.
In the Donetsk area, separatists fired on Ukrainian positions in the area of Avdiivka. They used grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms.
In the Luhansk area, pro-Russian separatists used small arms against Ukrainian forces. In particular, armed provocations were organized in the areas of Novooleksandrivka and Popasna. Moreover, separatists opened fire with an anti-tank missile system.
The press-center of the staff stressed that Ukrainian units strictly adhered to the ceasefire, although the enemy fired machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms.
Ukrainian forces registered 29 violations of the ceasefire on the previous day, September 24. Separatist snipers opened fire twice in the Donetsk and Mariupol areas and also fired mortars.
