Media: Russian combat drones used in Donbas war built with German parts

The German edition Bild reports that Russia, in spite of the European Union sanctions, continues to buy German propellers for its unmanned aerial vehicles Granat-1, Granat-2, Granat-3, Takhion, ZALA-42104M, Pear, Orlan -2 ".

According to journalists, this involves propellers manufactured by two companies in Germany: Graupner / SJ GmbH and aero-naut Modellbau GmbH & Co. KG.

“Pro-Russian forces already used the drone Granat-2 with folding propellers in the spring of 2015, in the battle of the Ukrainian city of Debaltseve, in which 184 Ukrainian soldiers were killed. These propellers were made in Reutlingen,” writes the publication.

In Donetsk, the Ukrainian military recently downed the Russian drone Granat-2, which was also equipped with folding propeller blades manufactured by German company aero-naut Modellbau from Baden-Württemberg. This is another proof that Russians use German-made parts for drones.

Russia does not hide the fact that German components are used in its unmanned aerial vehicles. The Russian military museum "Park Patriot", which was opened near Moscow about three years ago, still exhibits military drones with German propeller blades. Bild writes that the Russian army has been using such devices in the war against Ukraine since 2015.

At the same time, the company-manufacturer of propellers said that it does not cooperate with Russia but sells products to private customers.
