Ukrainain Prime Minister: We need to mobilize every opportunity to protect Ukraine

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said on Twitter that no one has the right to carry out “bandit attacks” against the armed forces of a sovereign state. Groysman stated that Ukraine has been the target of both hidden and open aggression for five years.

“And what happened is unacceptable. The whole civilized world must be mobilized to put an end to this barbarism. The whole civilized world has to be mobilized – to stop the barbarism. Nobody's given the right for gangster attacks against military of an independent state,” said the Prime Minister.

Groysman also stated that it is necessary to mobilize all opportunities for state protection. “And if decisions must be made, which do not limit the rights of people but mobilize state reserves, it should be done. The NSDC recommended such a decision,” he added.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with top military commanders, including the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, because of the Russian Federation’s actions. 

On Monday, the Ukrainian President signed the decree introducing the martial law in Ukraine.
