Smolensk plane crash: Moscow rejected Poland's accusation

The Kremlin is aware of Poland’s position regarding the crash of Polish President Lech Kaczynski's plane in 2010, but it does not agree with their conclusions, as was reported to journalists by the Russian President’s Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, in commenting on the accusation by Poland against Russian dispatchers, the correspondent of RBC reports.

“Their position is well known, our investigative bodies are engaged in this matter, and the investigation is being carried out by Russia as well. Certainly, the circumstances of this tragedy have been seriously studied and researched. It is not possible for us to agree with their conclusions,” Peskov said.

The aircraft carrying the Polish government delegation in route to hold a memorial in Katyn crashed in April 2010 near Smolensk. All 96 people on board were killed, including the President of Poland, Lech Kaczynski.
