Peskov: NATO's aggressive nature cannot be eradicated

NATO’s aggressive nature is impossible to eradicate, despite the fact that there are no blocs opposing them. This was said by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov. He said this in response to statements made by NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, on the strengthening of the Alliance’s forces in response to the development of Russian activity.

“Stoltenberg’s statements once again testify to the aggressive nature of the organization,” Peskov began. “Despite the fact that there are no blocs opposing NATO, it is still impossible to eradicate the Alliance’s enduring nature of forcing their ideologies and politics on others,” he added.

He stressed that “in terms of its national security, Russia is acting within its borders and their actions do not threaten anyone”. However, he is convinced that the expansion of NATO’s infrastructure closer to Russia’s borders is evidence of the aggressive nature of the Alliance.
