Peskov: Russia and Syrian government are discussing the future of Aleppo
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that discussions about the situation in Aleppo are being carried out on different levels and mostly with the Syrian government.
“As far as Aleppo is concerned, obviously, there is an exchange of opinions on different levels and, mostly, these discussions are being carried out with the legitimate government of Syria,” Peskov stated while answering a question about whether there are any discussions with western partners about the future of Aleppo, reports Russia’s RIA news agency.
Earlier the Russian Ministry of defense stated that the forces of Bashar al-Assad “managed to dramatically change the situation in Aleppo”.
