President Zelensky visits Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Donbas frontlines for the first time

Ukrainain President Vladimir Zelensky took his first business trip to the Luhansk region where he inspected the positions of the military forces near the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska and Schastia, as reported by the press service of the president.

“The head of state discussed living conditions, food quality, equipment supplies, housing and social benefits and recruitment with the soldiers,” the statement read.

 It should be noted that Zelensky visited the frontlines in Luhansk, specifically the observation posts and dugouts. The closest enemy is 400 meters away, according to the president’s press service.

He examined the living conditions of the Ukrainian military and said that they needed to be improved.

“The military defending Ukraine should have better conditions,” said the head of state.

In addition, the commander of the joint force operation, Lieutenant General Alexander Sirsky reported to the president on the situation in the area of ​​the Joint Force operation. The meeting was attended by the Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Ruslan Homchak.
