US to allocate $4 million to Ukraine for construction of arsenals

The United States is allocating $4 million to Ukraine for the construction of six storage facilities for explosives as part of a new Memorandum on Conventional Weapons Destruction signed by the two countries on June 25, reports the press service of the US State Department.

"The United States and Ukraine signed a new memorandum of understanding on Conventional Weapons Stockpile Management. Signed by Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs R. Clarke Cooper and Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs Acting Director of the Directorate of International Security Ruslan Nimchynskyi, the memorandum sets out a $4 million US contribution toward construction of six explosive storehouses over the next two years for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense ", - the document reads.

Earlier, the US Congress approved the entire package of security assistance in the amount of 250 million dollars to Ukraine, which should be provided in 2019 through the Pentagon to strengthen Ukrainian National Security and Defense.
