It is reported that on October 16, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danylyuk and Ambassador of Ukraine Valeriy Chaly met with Mitchell, who took office on October 12. They discussed cooperation between the two countries and the process of reforms in Ukraine.

"Mitchell noted the progress that our country had managed to achieve in implementing structural reforms. He also mentioned the need to establish an Anti-Corruption Court and added that Ukraine remains a priority in US foreign policy. Mitchell also noted that he planned his first foreign visit to Ukraine in the near future," the statement says.

On the same day, Danylyuk met with Steven Mnuchin, US Secretary of the Treasury, and David Malpass, Undersecretary of the Treasury for International Affairs, as well as with Mathew Haarsager, Special Assistant to the President for Global Economics and Finance.
