Ukrainian military to start using Turkish combat drones

Ukrainian Air Force received permission to use Bayraktar TB2 drones, reports the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

50 Ukrainian soldiers completed training in Turkey on the use and maintenance of drones.

"This is important in the context of the acquisition of specific educational institution experience in training specialists for new types of weapons, and it will also create the necessary personnel reserve for filling positions of already trained soldiers in the future," reads the message of the Ministry.

Bayraktar TB2 combat drones were adopted by Ukrainian Armed Forces in March this year. Bayraktar TB2 is capable of spending 24 hours in the air. They are equipped with modern high-precision missiles to destroy armored vehicles, engineering and fortifications facilities, as well as naval targets.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine is developing Akıncı strike drones together with Turkey.
