Ukrainian army will receive a new batch of Hummers from the USA
The next batch of army cars will arrive in Ukraine from the United States, said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the US, Valeriy Chaly, during a broadcast of Radio Liberty.
"The same 'Humvee' cars - a new supply of new cars, of quality, including medical, is currently planned," he said.
However, when answering a question about lethal weapons, Chaly confirmed that there is support from the Pentagon and the State Department in this matter, and that the final decision remains with US President Donald Trump.
"Yesterday there was a discussion of high-level experts from the United States who proposed to talk about defensive weapons - anti-tank weapons, anti-mine weapons, communications, anti-ballistic radars. We will find, I believe, in the near future, the inclusion of such supplies by Congress in the legislative framework,” emphasized the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze confirmed the consideration of the question regarding the provision of lethal weapons to Ukraine. In an interview with Voice of America, she said that the negotiations "are turning to a practical plane."
The Vice-Premier recalled that the United States had already delivered military equipment to Ukraine, which allowed for a reduction in human losses.
"I think that the argument about saving the lives of fighters is the most effective," she added.
As reported, the US military leadership is ready to provide lethal weapons to Ukraine. The decision remains with the White House.
