Ukraine considers imposing new sanctions against Russia

The government of Ukraine will introduce the draft resolution to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose new sanctions against Russia, reads the statement of the press service of the Ministry of Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine. 24 Russian companies to fall under new sanctions as well as several companies that are registered on the territory of other countries.

Six companies registered in the Crimea and 18 companies located in Russia will fall under sanctions. One of them is the Simferopol machine-building complex Fiolent. Also, the government proposes to include in the sanctions list companies that are registered in the territory of China, the Republic of Turkey, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. All of them are involved in the construction of the Krasnodar-Crimea main pipeline. At the same time, the Ministry didn't publish the full list of companies that fell under the sanctions.

"The imposition of sanctions on all companies that are involved in the construction of the Krasnodar-Crimea gas pipeline and illegal production of hydrocarbons in the occupied Ukrainian fields will pave the way for further actions to limit or terminate economic relations of these companies with the countries of the European Union and the United States of America," the Ministry said.
