Ukraine and Moldova agree on increasing military cooperation

During the 2018 Arms and Security Expo on Thursday, October 11th, Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Promoboronexport and the Moldovan Ministry of Defense signed a memorandum of cooperation, reports the press service of the state defense company Ukroboronprom.

It is indicated that the agreement includes the parties providing services to overhaul and modernize armored and aviation equipment. Also, the parties agreed on the possible supply of Ukrainian military equipment to the Armed Forces of Moldova.

In addition, during the international expo on October 9th, a memorandum was signed between State Concern Ukroboronprom and the Excalibur company (Czech Republic). The document indicates readiness by both sides to jointly carry out scientific, technical and experimental design activities aimed at creating new types of military equipment and weapons.

Earlier Ukrainian Spetstechnoexport signed a memorandum of cooperation with Turkish company Aselsan. The parties agreed on the production of Turkish radio communication systems in Ukraine.

On October 9th, the 2018 Arms and Security Expo was open to the public in Kyiv.
