Two American aircraft conduct reconnaissance flights off the Crimean coast
On Saturday, July 27, two U.S. planes conducted reconnaissance off the coast of the annexed Crimea, as reported by the air traffic monitoring service PlaneRadar.
"A patrol anti-submarine aircraft Boeing P-8A with a tail number 169004 flew from Sigonella Air Base in Sicily, Italy. It began cruising along the Black Sea coast of Crimea," the statement reads.
Also, at about noon, a U.S. Navy Lockheed EP-3E Orion (Aries II) electronic reconnaissance aircraft with the tail number 156511 took off from the Souda Bay airbase in Crete, Greece. At about 15:50 the aircraft approached the Crimean Peninsula at a distance of 32 kilometers from the port of Sevastopol
