Ukrainian Security Service opens criminal case against several Ukrainian media outlets for broadcasting DPR Victory Day parade

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) initiated criminal proceedings against several Ukrainian media outlets for broadcasting the Victory Day parade in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), reported the Deputy Chairman of the People's Front faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Victoria Syumar.

Victoria Syumar earlier sent a request to SBU about the matter.

The response of the security services, which MP posted on her page in Facebook, said that a criminal case was opened under the article "Manufacturing and distribution of Communist and Nazi symbols and propaganda of the communist and national socialist totalitarian regimes by means of mass media.”

Earlier, Oleksandr Turchynov, the National Security and Defense Secretary appealed to the SBU with a request to put on the sanctions list the mass media entities that broadcasted the military parade in the DPR.
