Russia to spend $200,000 on preserving Lenin's body in 2016
The Federal Security Service (FSS) has posted information about the maintenance required to preserve Lenin’s body. The estimated worth of the procedure is 13,081,500 rubles, or about $200,000. This amount was calculated by a scientific assessment of the necessary medical and biological preparations.
According to the commentary given to TASS by the official representative of FSS, Sergey Devyatov, the All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal Plants has been preserving Lenin’s body since 1924.
