• Poll suggests 20 percent of Russians think it is likely that they will be fired in the near future

    One out of five Russians think it is likely that they could be fired in the next two or three months. Downsizing has become a real concern, according to the fund “Public Opinion”, citing research results conducted towards the end of February. Interfax reported the results on March 5th of a poll of 1,500 respondents in 104 settlements of the Russian Federation.

    The founder of Russia’s Ren-TV company, Irena Lesnevskaya, has written an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking for the release of Ukrainian citizen, Nadia Savchenko.  Savchenko was charged in Russia with the murders of two Russian journalists.

    The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the bodies of 15 Russian servicemen who were killed in the Donbas were delivered from Donetsk to Russia.

  • Thousands protested in Tbilisi against negotiations between Georgia and Gazprom

    On Sunday, thousands of demonstrators formed a human chain six kilometers long from the Russian Embassy to the square in front of the government administration building in Tbilisi in order to protest negotiations between Georgia and Gazprom.
