Kremlin: Putin and Trump will have a brief meeting in Paris
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will meet briefly in Paris to discuss the possibility of further bilateral talks, stated Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the Russian president, TASS reported.
“They will most probably meet at the meeting of the G20 in Argentina, so we can assume that they will most likely speak about this possibility in Paris,” the Peskov said.
The press secretary also said that the two leaders will have a brief meeting in the French capital on November 11.
“So far, we have agreed that it would be difficult to organize a full-fledged meeting there. But they will meet anyway and will discuss the possibility of a further meeting to have thorough talks,” he said.
Earlier, the US president had announced that he would most probably not meet Putin in Paris. According to the Russian media, the meeting was allegedly postponed at the request of French President Emmanuel Macron.
