President Zelensky submits draft law on impeachment to Ukrainian Parliament

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted the bill on the impeachment of the Head of State to the Verkhovna Rada, reported Zelensky's representative in Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk.

"President Zelensky, as promised during the election campaign, today submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on a special procedure for removing the President from office (impeachment)," he said.

Also, Stefanchuk reminded that the Parliament has received the bill on cancellation of parliamentary immunity, and it would be fair to deliberate on these two projects.

The draft law "On the special procedure of elimination of the President of Ukraine from office (impeachment)," whose author is Volodymyr Zelensky has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, reports website of the Ukrainian Parliament.
