Poroshenko and Trump hold a brief meeting in Paris

On Sunday, November 11, Ukrinform reported that the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, held a short meeting in Paris with the U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Ukraine’s head of state, the meeting took place during the Paris Peace Forum.

“As a result of this discussion, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Klimkin, and U.S. Secretary of State, Pompeo, met today (November 11). I can emphasize the agreement to hold the Ukraine-U.S. Strategic Partnership Commission at the level of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in Washington, D.C., on November 16 this year. We agreed to resume its work,” Poroshenko said.

According to the president, in general, during his visit to Paris, he held about 40 bilateral meetings.

The celebrations in Paris were dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. About seventy delegations and state leaders take part in the events.

According to reports, Poroshenko held trilateral meetings in Paris with the leaders of France and Germany.
