Ukrainian Security Service accuses Russia of preparing provocations to prompt early parliamentary elections

Russia is preparing provocations in order to organize early parliamentary elections in Ukraine. This, as Urianian 112.UA news channel  reports, was said during a briefing by the head of the Ukrainian Security Service (SSU), Anatoliy Dublyk.

According to him, another provocation is being prepared on the day of the EU-Ukraine summit with the intention of breaking the process of obtaining a visa-free regime with the European Union.

The SSU’s response to the inquiry of the Ukrayinska Pravda newspaper does not say whether the identity of the "Rocker Plan" (which was among the so-called "Surkov’s letters", made public by hackers and which is said to contain calls for the destabilization of the situation in Ukraine at the end of 2016, has been confirmed, but repeats that some documents on Transcarpathia coincide with previously seized documents.

The document notes that the SSU continues to conduct research of the documents, and "the disclosure of information about its progress, as well as about the actors involved can harm the investigation".

"We can only inform you beforehand that the contents of some individual files coincide with the materials that have been seized by the SSU during searches that are connected with the investigation of the separatist movements in Transcarpathia. The unveiled plan to ensure the federal status of Transcarpathia and several other documents in fact coincide with the documents seized from one of the separatist organizers in the Transcarpathian region,” the SSU explained

The SSU promised to publish the results after the investigation is completed.

On Monday, November 7, people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Anton Gerashchenko posted links to documents allegedly from the e-mail of Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov. One of the documents concerns the destabilization of the Zakarpattia Oblast, another document is supposedly about the "Rocker Plan", aimed at destabilizing the political situation in the country during the period from November 2016 to March 2017.

The Kremlin said Surkov never used the email address from which the documents were obtained.

Earlier, the SSU announced the existence of new documents showing plans to destabilize the situation in 10-15 regions of Ukraine this month. No further details were provided.

Also, the SSU warned residents of Kharkiv about potential terrorist attacks. The statement explained that regional SSU offices received information about a potential threat to the region through November 20.
