Ukrainian MoD: Russia has deployed special forces to the Donbas

The units of the 604th Special Purpose Center Vityaz of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation arrived from the Moscow region of Balashikha to the area of Yasynuvata.

This was stated at a briefing in Kyiv by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, Ukrinform reports.

“According to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, there was another rotation in the ranks of the enemy. The units of the 604th Special Purpose Center Vityaz of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation arrived from Balashikha, Moscow region, to the area of Yasynuvata,” Motuzyanyk said.

He noted that military intelligence reported another attempt by the opponent to nullify the work of international observers.

“A few days ago, after the announcement of employees from the special monitoring mission of OSCE, militants cleared the land of mines near the village of Styla in the Starobeshevskiy district in the Donbas.

Shortly afterwards on September 22, following the orders of the Russian command, fighters from the so-called fifth brigade re-mined the area, thereby exposing local residents to deadly danger,” Motuzyanyk said.
