Ukrainian Ministry of Defense: Russia sent portable flamethrowers to the Donbas

A shipment of portable Bumblebee flamethrowers (RPO-A Shmel) and ammunition was delivered from Russia for the divisions of the Russian 100th separate motorized rifle brigade operating in the Donbas in the areas of Pesky and Marinka, as reported by the Chief Directorate of the Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on their Facebook page.

According to the information provided by Ukrainian Intelligence, training sessions for the separatists on the operation of the flamethrowers have been taking place under the guidance of military trainers from the Russian Army.

Military Intelligence said two Grad multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) were transported to Russian territory for repairs.

The report  also mentioned delivery of ammunition, fuel and lubricants from the territory of the Russian Federation. 15 tanks with fuels and lubricants (750 tons) arrived in Rovenky and 10 wagons of ammunition arrived in the town of Dolzhansky.

The rotational activities of Russian military personnel continued. The reconnaissance and subversion groups of the separatist have ben active along the contact line in eastern Ukraine.

"The Ukrainian side provided information to the representatives of the Special monitoring mission (SSM) of the OSCE regarding the locations and numbers of mortars, tanks, artillery systems caliber over 100 mm, self-propelled guns and 122-mm Grad MLRS in the areas of Stanytsia Luhanska, Almazna, Mineral’ne, Makiivka, Donetsk, Molodets’ke and Razdol’ne settlements," the statement added.

According to the report of the Ukrainian Intelligence four Russian soldiers were killed and five servicemen were wounded from the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment (Makiivka) and the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Gorlovka) of 1 Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as of the 6th separate motorized rifle regiment (Stakhanov) of 2 Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
