Ukrainian Border Guard Service continues to report presence of Russian aircraft near administrative border
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported new cases of Russian helicopters flying near the administrative border with Russian-annexed Crimea. "Border guards of Kherson region noticed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters that were flying over the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea," the Ukrainian agency reported.
Kherson declared the strengthening of security measures after the intrusion of Russian aircraft. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that on March 23rd, Russian Mi-8 helicopters violated Kherson airspace. According to them, the helicopters crossed Arabat Spit, flying over a gas distribution station, made a turn to the south over the Ukrainian gas production platform Strelkova-5 in the Sea of Azov, and then crossed the administrative border of the Kherson region flying back to the Crimea.
The Russian side has not commented on incidents yet.
