Ukraine resumes gas imports from Poland

Ukraine has resumed importing gas from Poland, according to Maxim Belyavskiy, the head of the press service of Uktranzgaz, the Ukrainian gas transit company

“Today, July 17, 2015 Ukraine resumed the import of the Polish Gas," Belyavskiy said on Saturday.

“On Saturday Ukraine resumed the import of gas from Poland [totalling] up to 0.3 million cubic meters per day. The import from Slovakia increased to 8.8 million cubic meters per day,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

On May 16, Ukraine temporarily suspended the import of gas from Poland due to repairs at a gas compressor station. It was planned to reroute about 4 kilometers of the gas pipelines. The repairs didn’t impact gas transit to Europe and affected only the reverse transit to Ukraine.
