Turkey to decrease resort prices for Ukrainian citizens
Following the results of a meeting with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in Ankara, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, stated that Ukraine and Turkey have agreed on reducing the cost of Turkish resorts for Ukrainians, the 112-Ukraine TV Channel reported.
“We have also agreed on the expansion of cooperation within the tourism industry, including the reduction of prices at Turkish resorts for Ukrainian citizens,” Poroshenko noted. Poroshenko also invited Turkey to participate in privatization initiatives in Ukraine.
Turkey expects to lose 4.5 million Russian tourists in 2016 due to a souring of relations between Moscow and Ankara. Turkey hopes to compensate by providing attractive resort packages to Ukrainian tourists.
