Trump supporters accuse Obama of organizing Maidan
Protests were held in several cities across the US, where participants expressed a number of accusations against the previous U.S. administration. The protests were timed to coincide with the anniversary of the revolution in Ukraine.
Protesters meeting near UN headquarters promoted a version of events that claimed that former president Barack Obama and billionaire George Soros had a hand in the change of power in Ukraine.
The activists emphasized that the same people are now trying to remove the new president of the United States, Donald Trump, from power using similar means as were used for the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych. Therefore, the protesters fear that after the election of Trump, the situation in the United States can develop in a similar scenario.
Actions were held in Boston and Houston, as well as in the German capital of Berlin. The Schiller Institute, an international organization, planned the event, in partnership with its contributor, economist Lyndon LaRouche, who is known for his pro-Russian stance.
