EU is considering to allocate 50 million euro to Ukraine
The President's Humanitarian Envoy at the Minsk peace talks regarding the war in the Donbas, Iryna Herashchenko stated on Facebook that the European Union Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn made an announcement about the consideration of the allocation of 50 million euros to Ukraine for humanitarian and infrastructure projects.
"Today, Commissioner Hahn has announced that allocation of another 50 million is being considered, which should also be spent on humanitarian and infrastructure projects," Herashchenko wrote.
She noted that in recent years the European Commission has allocated about 400 million euros to support Ukraine, especially through humanitarian support. Of that amount, 1.3 million was allocated to help Mariupol, which the European Commissioner visited.
Hahn arrived in Ukraine on June 1. He visited Kyiv, Mariupol and Dnipro.
