Poroshenko's three-day trip to the US cost $200,000

The journalists of “Hromadske TV” received a response for their request for the cost of the visit of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington.

The reply from the administration indicates that it took 5 million hryvnia or about two hundred thousand US dollars to organize the President’s three-day trip to the USA in March to April. “Poroshenko stayed in The Ritz Carlton Georgetown, one of the most expensive hotels in the USA in a suite that cost $5,500 a night,” reports journalist Tatyana Kozyreva.

The Presidents living costs and that of his official delegation and accompanying staff amounted to $46,200 or 1.2 million hryvnia. Over 3 million UAH was spent for transportation.  The rental costs of vehicles abroad came to $8,400.
