Poroshenko postpones visit to the UK
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko postponed his visit to Great Britain which was planned for May 11-12th, as reported by the press service of the President.
"A working visit by Petro Poroshenko to Great Britain which was scheduled for May 11-12th, was postponed due to the election of a new Prosecutor General and failure to adopt laws necessary for the continuation of cooperation with the IMF," the statement of the press service read on Tuesday evening.
According to the statement, the President will continue consultations on these issues with members of Parliament. "These reforms are what our country really needs. This is a situation where domestic policy impacts international activities. I will continue consultations with members of Parliament," the press service quoted the President as saying.
Poroshenko’s visit to Great Britain was to take place on May 11-12th. During the visit, the President planned to attend the Anti-Corruption Summit in London.
