Poroshenko awarded Deputy Secretary-General of NATO the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has awarded the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Alexander Vershbow, the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise while in Warsaw. This was reported by President Poroshenko’s press service.
“The Deputy Secretary General of NATO was awarded this order for his considerable personal contribution to the development of Ukraine's relations with NATO, his assistance in reforming the national security and defense as well as his support in upholding the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, the message said.
Vershbow said that NATO intends to strengthen their support and assistance to Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova as well as to strengthen the national security and sovereignty of these countries.
