Mitsubishi opens office in Ukraine
New official distributor of Mitsubishi cars – the company MMC Ukraine - was introduced into the Ukrainian market
A joint venture, MMC Ukraine, will import cars from the Japanese manufacturer, Mitsubishi, to Ukraine, as was reported by Liga.net citing the press service of the company. Mitsubishi Corporation’s share in the joint venture is 60%. The other 40% of the company belongs to the NIKO group of companies. Hiroaki Ozawa was appointed as the Director General of the joint venture.
"The company has been an official distributor of Mitsubishi cars and also a representative of the manufacturer of cars, spare parts and accessories for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova since 10 May 2016. The introduction to the Ukrainian market of a new distributor is not only a significant event for the Ukrainian car market in general, but also a positive indicator of a revival of foreign investments in Ukraine," the statement read.
The new distributor intends to cover 3.5% of the Ukrainian car market in 2016. The manufacturer will be represented by the following models: Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Mitsubishi L200, Mitsubishi ASX and the Mitsubishi Outlander.
"The task of MMC Ukraine will be to ensure the highest level of cooperation between the manufacturer, the adaptation of the range of Mitsubishi cars to the realities of Ukrainian operational conditions and consumer requirements, ensure the efficiency of the entry into the market of new models of Mitsubishi cars, the quality of warranty and after-warranty service and providing deliveries and warehousing of original spare parts and accessories. The new distributor will assume warranty and after-warranty liabilities on Mitsubishi cars purchased by consumers before 10 May 2016," as was stated by the company.
The company’s plans include the expansion of the dealer network to 26 car dealers in 21 cities in Ukraine, and also one car dealership in the Republic of Moldova.
