Ukrainian Intelligence: Separatists received radio-electronic warfare systems from Russia
On August 9, R-330 Zhitel and Leer-3 radio-electronic jamming systems from the Separate Military Unit of Electronic Warfare (Donetsk) of the 1st Army Corps were deployed from Donetsk towards the line of contact in the Donbas, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported. In addition, a deployment of weapons, military equipment, oil and lubricants was recorded from Russian territory.
According to intelligence, between August 5 and August 7, four rail cars with replacement parts for tanks and seven tankers with oil and lubricants arrived in Donetsk; four covered wagons and six tankers with oil and lubricants arrived in Kuteinykove; and five tanks (three T-72 and two T-64), three BMP-2 (infantry fighting vehicles), two 152-mm self-propelled guns, five Ural trucks and two rail cars with personnel arrived in Ilovaisk.
The Ukrainian intelligence reported that a group of snipers was deployed to Donetsk; two motorized rifle platoons from the 100th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade were deployed to Oleksandrivka; four fuel tankers and two trucks with ammunition were deployed to Yasynuvata; and an artillery platoon from the Self-Propelled Gun Artillery Division of the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Makiivka) of the 1st Army Corps were deployed to Mospyne. Additionally, there is a reactive artillery battery of Grads (multiple rocket launchers) in the southern part of Mospyne.
Also, divisions of the separatists’ 100th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade are conducting additional mining along the contact line. Engineering installation of military positions for the 3rd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 2nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Luhansk) of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces is being carried out in the direction of Novoaidar near Pionerske.
According to intelligence, a warning system check of the 6th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment (Stakhanov) of the 2nd Army Corps was conducted in the areas near Sloviansk. In addition, a rotation of front-line divisions from the 3rd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Horlivka) of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk) has been carried out.
The rotation of front-line divisions from the 9th Separate Assault Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Marine Corps (Novoazovsk) of the 1st Army Corps has also been conducted in the direction of Mariupol.
“Pro-Russian forces continue reconnaissance operations along the front line. The Ukrainian Intelligence detected two UAVs in the area of responsibility of the 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Debaltseve) of the 2nd Army Corps and an Orlan-10 UAV from the Separate Unit of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of responsibility of the 9th Separate Assault Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Marine Corps,” the Main Directorate of Intelligence reported.
The Ukrainian side provided information to the OSCE SMM about the presence of tanks, artillery systems of more than 100-mm caliber and Grad multiple rocket launchers in the areas of Donetsk, Stakhanov, Boykivske and Krasnyi Luch.
