LPR separatists says they are willing to nationalize property belonging to Ukrainian oligarch

Authorities of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) have stated that they are ready   to "nationalize" the enterprises of Ukrainian oligarch, Rinat Akhmetov.

According to the separatist’s news websites, the LPR authorities has "reviewed and adopted in the first reading, a bill which will ensure that the state takes under its control the enterprises that operate in certain areas of Luhansk region but are not registered in LPR." The bill states that “a temporary administration” will be introduced in such enterprises.

"This impacts the Public Joint Stock Company, Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant, including PJSC Alchevskkoks, DTEK Sverdlovanthracite LLC, DTEK Rovenkyanthracite LLC, VAT Krasnodonvugillya, the private company Aquaservice, the private company Ekoenergia, the Krasnodon windfarm and the Lutugino windfarm," the head of the LPR, Igor Plotnitsky,  stated.  

The DTEK energy group refused to comment on the separatists’s statements, however, DTEK management noted that the enterprise operates exclusively within Ukrainian law.

"All of the company's assets, including those that are located within the separatist-held territories of Ukraine, are registered in Ukraine, and DTEK pays taxes to the Ukrainian government," said the head of the  communications department of DTEK Energy LLC, Iryna Milyutina, in a comment to Donbas.Realii radio.
