Kremlin: Putin is pleased with his first meeting with Trump
President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, was pleased with the results of his first meeting with US President Donald Trump during the two-day G20 summit in Hamburg, as stated by the spokesman of the head of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with a Russian TV channels, RBC reports.
"I can say unequivocally that Putin was pleased, and, frankly, I do not know President Trump at all, but it seemed to me that he, too, was satisfied with this meeting," Peskov said.
Previously, Trump discussed the need for constructive cooperation with Russia.
"We [with Russian President Vladimir Putin] negotiated a ceasefire in parts of Syria which will save lives. Now it is time to move forward in working constructively with Russia!!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
According to The New York Times, during their first meeting, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin argued for 40 minutes about the alleged intervention of the Russian Federation in the presidential elections in America.
