Ukraine and Poland to cooperate on development of missile technologies

Ukraine's Ukroboronprom State Concern agreed to cooperate with Poland's WB Electronics S.A. on the developmet of  anti-aircraft and anti-missile technology, according to a Ukroboronprom press release.

"The leadership of the Ukroboronprom State Concern and Polish company WB Electronics S.A. signed a cooperation agreement on December 22nd, 2016. Ukroboronprom subsidiaries, SFTE Spetstehnoexport and SJSHC Artem, are the direct participants of the cooperation agreement,” the statement read.

"The experience and capabilities of the Polish partners are important for us and for the further development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. Ukroboronprom finalized a course of transition to international standards, which is why we are glad to develop new models of weapons specifically with a company of a NATO member country," the Deputy General Director for Aircraft Industry and Operations of Ukroboronprom, Volodymyr Korobov, said.

The agreement provides for the creation of new types of anti-aircraft and anti-missile weapons in accordance with the conditions of modern warfare.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukroboronprom will participate in the United States research programs.
