Muzhenko: Ukraine has sent the list of weapons it needs to US
The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Muzhenko stated that Ukraine had agreed with the United States on the list of weapons and expects a corresponding political decision from the US.
"All the lists have been submitted. Everything is agreed on our end. We are waiting for a political decision. The provision of armaments will send a clear signal to all countries, including NATO members, that such supplies can be provided to Ukraine," said Muzhenko in an interview with Tyzhden.ua.
According to him, not all countries allow Ukraine to purchase what it needs. Muzhenko said that weapons scheduled for delivery from the United States include air defense systems, especially aerial surveillance assets and electronic warfare. He emphasized that such weapons would be critical for the Armed Forces, which Ukraine’s defense industry is still unable to provide.
“We also need medical vehicles, particularly armored ones. But these are nonlethal equipment, so the first batch has already arrived in Ukraine. They will be delivered to the military shortly. And, of course, anti-tank weapons are on the list too, although for today, the domestic industry provides us with Stugna or Corsar based weapons," he added.
