Kremlin: Russia is ready to prevent color revolution
The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, the first Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and Army General, Valery Gerasimov, announced at a conference on the development of the military strategy that the Pentagon has begun to develop a new warfare strategy called the Trojan Horse. According to Gerasimov, the essence of this strategy lies in the active use of the "fifth column" protest potential in order to destabilize the situation in the enemy state while simultaneously striking with high-precision weapons at the most important objects.
Gerasimov said that Russia is ready to prevent such a scenario. "In recent years, military scientists, together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces, have developed conceptual approaches to neutralize aggressive actions of potential adversaries," he stressed.
According to the head of the General Staff, the United States, together with its allies, determined the aggressive radius of their foreign policy and are working on offensive military actions, such as “global strike”, “multi-domain battle”.
At the same time, the United States uses the “color revolution” technology and so-called soft power in order to eliminate the statehood of countries they dislike, change the lawfully elected government bodies, and undermine sovereignty.
Gerasimov said that this happened in Iraq, Libya and Ukraine, and now similar actions can be observed in Venezuela.
